Science and Organizing in Project Management

Science and Organizing in Project Management
‘Management’ in general can be defined as an art in science and organization such as planning, building organizations and organizing, movement, and control or supervision. Or to make it easier to understand, management is a systematic science in order to understand why and how humans work together to produce something that is beneficial to others and certain groups and society.
‘Project’ is a temporary activity that has been determined at the beginning of its work and completion time and is usually limited by time and budget or funding. to achieve specific and unique goals and results, and generally to produce a change that is useful or that has added value.
So, Project Management is a discipline that examines planning, organizing, managing, controlling, in order to be able to achieve project objectives. In this Loofusanddoofus Project management science, we will learn about how we can utilize resources optimally to achieve the goals we have set. the basic function of this project management is the management of TIME, POWER, WAGES, QUALITY. Management of these aspects if done correctly then this is the key to success in implementing a project.
With the existence of project management research, there will be visible limitations regarding the tasks, authority, and responsibilities of the parties involved in the project, both directly and indirectly, so there will not be overlapping or tasks carried out simultaneously.
If the project management functions are realized clearly and structured, the final objectives of a project will be realized, namely:
5. There are no social problems
6. K3 can be achieved well.
In addition, in project management we will learn many things for management, such as learning about cost management, ie we will learn how to make a RAB. we will also learn about time management, i.e. we will learn to make a time schedule or project implementation time, and we will also learn about manpower management, i.e. we will learn to deal with social problems that arise in the project, and much more that we can learn in the field of management of this project.
Branches of Civil Engineering
In the field of civil engineering it is divided into several facets or branches of science, because civil engineering is a very broad science of study and scope. Following are the branches of science studied, namely:
Structural Engineering, namely the field of science that studies structural problems such as buildings, roads, bridges, tunnels, etc. Also study the properties of materials used for buildings such as building materials: steel, concrete, wood, glass etc.
Geotechnical engineering, which is studying the structure and nature of soils as building support (foundation) or as building material (dykes, agricultural infrastructure, retaining walls, etc.)
Water Resources Engineering in this field you will study the problems of water supply, distribution and control including: hydrology (regarding the water cycle); hydraulics (with regard to the nature and movement of water) and water structures (channels, pipelines, dams, reservoirs etc.)
Environmental Engineering, in this field of science will study human health and safety issues and the environment including the provision of clean water facilities and infrastructure, solid waste and water management, river pollution, noise and air pollution to sanitation techniques.
Geomatics Engineering, studying the problem of measurement and analysis of earth-based data. This information is the basis for building planning and environmental control including: land surveying, remote sensing, GIS and modeling. Other names: Civil Engineering Informatics, Surveying
Have you never been fined due to project time delays? if you haven’t, well thank God, it means your time management is good and should be made an example.
But what if this situation happens because of one thing or another that is out of our control, which ultimately results in your project being late and past its implementation?
Of course, in every field of work, there must be laws that regulate the work so that it can run well, correctly, and precisely. Even in civil engineering works, there is also a law regarding construction that regulates every work related to construction, one of the laws being ‘DELAY OF PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION TIME’.
Already know yet, how many fines will be imposed if we are late in completing the project according to the time specified? The fines imposed are as follows: Fines per day = 1/1000 of the contract value
